Mt. Pleasant residents will not vote on a fluoride-related issue this November. Anti-fluoride activist Gladys Mitchell was leading a petition drive to get fluoride on the ballot for the third straight year and fourth time in a nine years, but City Clerk Rob Flynn said earlier today that Mitchell isn't turning in a petition.

And thus dies my idea for a bumper sticker, "If it's November in Mt. Pleasant, we're voting on fluoride."
