There was some talk that local Democrats were very leery of Partlo's departure from Coleman Schools, that the controversy stemmed from what people described as an authoritarian streak. Then again, Eric Wellsby was the hometown Democrat, and some local Democrats are reportedly trying to energize the local base per Howard Dean's strategy.
